A Little Bit of Politics

Now, I have a quote that I love very much. It's from Tycho of Penny Arcade.

"Nobody really says anything in a political debate here, we all just sortof heap our emotional baggage onto the table and then gesture wildly at it."

That being said, you now get to watch me gesture wildly.

First, this:

CLICKY!

It's today, and you should know what it means. If you don't, follow the link, and be ye educated. Or remain a clueless, herd-mind victim of corporate skull-fuckery. Your choice.

And while we're on the subject of fuckery, I'm reminded that elections are just around the corner!

I'm a Georgian, so if you're not, the following won't really apply. You can stop reading now, or you can intelligently apply the same data I'm about to give you in a generic manner to your home state or country.

There's a wikipedia page up that helpfully lists the Georgia Statewide Elections candidates. So if you aren't sure who is running, or what they stand for, that page is an excellent jumping-off point for the major players. I've mainly been grabbing names and then heading directly for the candidate's websites, using Wikipedia as a background resource merely to guide some of my research.

Of course, I'm a libertarian so I'm spending most of my time analyzing those candidates, since they're the most likely ones to actually perform in office in a manner that doesn't make me regret voting for them.

If you're a libertarian, or think you might be, the page for the Georgia Libertarian party is a handy place to learn about it locally, and of course libertarian.org and lp.org are good for national information.

And on a totally unrelated note: ZOMG, KMFDM is coming to the Masq! Eeeee!
